“I see lots of tween girls in semi-sexy poses on their online accounts. I say you’ll have the rest of your life to be or do sexy, but, wow, I tell you—— being a kid? That zips by really fast and one day when you’re in therapy at 50 - you’ll wonder where your childhood went. No rush. No rush. Hush.”

Cruelly overlooked even by its makers, this is the one song from Sandwich’s “<X> Marks The Spot” that sounds more alive than any of the popular singles released from the album. It’s catchy, yes, and with an earnest lyric that would only sound profound in a pop song. But it’s got a lot of heart and it shows. Plus, deliberate or not, the reference to Poklong Anading in the song title makes just so appealing even without hearing a note. Plus while we’re at it, I’d just like to berate Sandwich for putting out great songs like Hairpin, Return to Center, Masilungan and still put out crap like Right Now as singles? Please let the madness stop! -Erwin Romulo
“We are stronger and smarter than the shit 2009 threw at us. We will figure this out eventually and if answers don’t come we’d have gathered ourselves enough to shrug and say, NEXT.”

“Parang na mimiss ko nang mag statue dance ng seryoso. Yung naiihi ka sa excitement tapos tawang-tawa ka sa sarili mo. Pag balik ng music, kembot ulit. Tapos rinse and repeat many times throughout your childhood.”
