Meanwhile, in the homes of the prosecutors, judges, the Supreme Court Chief Justice, honorable ladies & gentlemen of the Philippines sleep before a big day tomorrow. All of them have different things foremost on their minds. A few will probably be studying more evidence, practicing their spiels and speeches, preparing their sound bites for the media and a possible memorable quote that, they imagine, can catapult them to higher offices, a few will be re-examining their versions of the “Rule of Law,” preparing their defenses, a few will be praying, a number will be sleeping soundly by now. Hopefully all remembering that this is about the process we always refer to as ‘due,’ and more importantly, I fervently wish that Justice and the quest for it is somewhere in the equation of everyone’s agenda.
